Golf Fore Kidz Earns a Best of Florida Honorable Mention, Plus What Our Little Golfers Are Learning This October
A Big Month for Golf Fore Kidz
Hi families! Coach Ron here. Fall classes are rolling, and October is an exciting month for everyone in the Golf Fore Kidz family. We have some big news to share, a look at what your kids are learning this month, and an easy way to keep the fun going at home.
We Earned a Best of Florida Honorable Mention
The biggest highlight of the month: Golf Fore Kidz was recognized in the Best of Florida awards with an Honorable Mention in the Sports Leagues, Camps & Clinics category!
When I started Golf Fore Kidz, the goal was simple. Bring golf to young kids in a way that's fun, active, and confidence-building, right at the schools they already love. Being honored alongside so many great programs across the state means a lot to me and our whole team.
This award belongs to all of you: our families, our coaches, and the directors and teachers at our partner schools who welcome us every week. Thank you for trusting us with your kids and for spreading the word. We couldn't do it without you.
Our Youngest Golfers Are Swinging Big
One of my favorite things right now is how many 2-year-olds we have in the program. Seeing kids this young pick up a club, line up a shot, and light up when the ball rolls toward the hole is amazing.
At this age, golf isn't about perfect form. It's about balance, coordination, listening, and taking turns, all while having a blast. Introducing the game this early builds a foundation that grows with them. Who knows? Some of these little ones might be hitting drives on the course with you one day.
What We're Learning in October
August and September were all about getting comfortable. Students learned how class runs, what to expect each week, and how to be safe and have fun with their clubs and equipment.
Now that everyone knows the routine, October is when we start digging into the real skills of golf. Kids will be building on the basics with more focused work on the fundamentals of the game. Every skill is broken down into kid-sized steps and turned into games, so learning feels like play.
Ask your child what they worked on in golf this week. You might be surprised how much they can show you!
Coach Ron's At-Home Tip: Work on the Grip
Want to help your golfer between classes? Practice the grip. A good grip is one of the most important building blocks in golf, and it's something you can work on at home with no course and no ball needed.
Have your child hold their club (or even a pool noodle or toy club) and show you their grip a few times a week. Keep it light and fun. A few minutes of practice will help them feel more confident when they step up to swing in class.
Coming Soon: Golf Fore Kidz Merch
Something fun is on the way! Golf Fore Kidz merch is coming soon to our website. Your little golfer will be able to rep the program on and off the course. Keep an eye on golfforekidz.com and our social pages for the launch.
How You Can Help Us Grow
Our main focus this month is enrollment, and you can make a big difference.
Refer a school. Does your child's preschool or daycare not offer Golf Fore Kidz yet? Tell the director about us or send us their info. We'd love to bring golf to more kids across Central Florida.
Follow us on social media. See class photos and videos, celebrate our golfers, and be the first to know when merch drops.
Thank you for being part of the Golf Fore Kidz family. See you on the green!
